Chatbots answer health questions from the internet. Ask Thrive answers from your body.
As a third of US adults turn to AI for health advice, Gold Coast founders launch Thrive Health Band: a screen-free wearable with an AI assistant that has actually seen your sleep, recovery and metabolic response.

Australian Founded. Australian Engineered. Australian Owned.
GOLD COAST, 26 October 2026: A third (32%) of US adults now turn to AI for health information and advice, according to KFF's latest Tracking Poll on Health Information and Trust [1]. But a general chatbot has never seen how a person slept last night, how well they have recovered, or how their body responded to what they ate. Australian health technology company Optihealth Group built Thrive Health Band to close that gap.
Thrive pairs a screen-free wearable band with Ask Thrive, an AI assistant in the Thrive app that answers from the wearer's own data. Ask "What seems to affect my sleep?" or "How has my recovery changed?" and Ask Thrive looks at that person's sleep, recovery, activity and metabolic response against their own baselines, then replies in plain English. Where something looks worth checking, it prompts a conversation with their GP rather than offering a diagnosis. Wearers can also sign in to My Health on the web, the Thrive web portal, on any computer to see their long-term trends, patterns and reports on a bigger screen.
"People are already asking AI about their health, but a general chatbot is answering from the internet, not from them," said Linda Gordon, Co-Founder and COO of Optihealth Group. "We built Thrive so the answer starts with your own body: how you slept, how you recovered, how you responded to your day. And when something is worth a second look, Ask Thrive tells you to talk to your GP. That is what trustworthy health information from AI should look like."
Screen-free by design
The Thrive band has no screen. It measures quietly in the background and gives a gentle haptic nudge for reminders the wearer sets. The conversation happens in the app, when the person chooses to have it, not on their wrist every few minutes.
Built as a whole system, not just a gadget
Thrive is a veteran-owned business founded by Gold Coast couple Linda Gordon and Graham Gordon. Rather than build another band and leave people to interpret the charts, they designed the band, the app and Ask Thrive together, so that the information leads to an answer.
"Most wearables give people more numbers and leave them to work out what it all means," said Graham Gordon, Co-Founder and CEO of Optihealth Group. "We wanted the opposite. The band does the measuring, the app brings it together, and Ask Thrive explains it in words anyone can use. We built the whole system around one question: what does this mean for me?"
The same KFF poll found 77% of US adults are concerned about the privacy of personal medical information they give to AI tools [1]. With Thrive Loops, wearers choose what they share and who they share it with.
